Newsletter

Newsletter subscription is voluntary and separate from event registration. Registering for an event does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

We do not request or store copies of passports through CGOTExpo.com.

Visa information is not used for marketing purposes and is deleted once it is no longer required for the visa or invitation procedure.

Airport Pickup

This information may be shared with the event organiser in China where necessary to arrange the requested service.

Interpreter Booking

This information may be shared with the event organiser where necessary to arrange the service.

2. Why We Process Your Information

We do not sell personal information.

We do not provide visitor databases to exhibitors.

4. Event Registration and the Organiser

Registration information collected through CGOTExpo.com may be transferred to Zhengzhou Huizhuo Exhibition Planning Co., Ltd. in China.

This is necessary for purposes connected with participation in CGOT Expo, including event administration, attendee verification and access to the exhibition.

Only information relevant to the event registration is transferred for this purpose.

Newsletter subscriber information is not automatically transferred to the Chinese organiser.

5. International Transfers of Personal Information

CGOT Expo is an international trade event in China. Certain personal information may therefore need to be transferred from the European Economic Area to China.

6. Newsletter and Mailchimp

We use Mailchimp to manage email newsletter subscriptions and distribute CGOT Expo newsletters.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, information such as your name, email address, company name and country may therefore be processed through Mailchimp’s systems.

Newsletter subscriptions are voluntary.

We use newsletter information exclusively to send CGOT Expo-related news, event information, industry updates, registration announcements and other relevant communications.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in each newsletter.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not affect an existing event registration.

7. Service Providers

We use selected third-party service providers to operate the website and our communications.

Hostinger – Used for website hosting and related website infrastructure.

Titan / Hostinger Email – Used for business email communications.

Mailchimp – Used for email newsletter management and distribution.

Event Ticket Plus – Used in connection with visitor registration and ticketing.

These providers may process information on our behalf only to the extent necessary to provide their respective services.

They may maintain their own privacy and security practices in accordance with their applicable terms and legal obligations.

8. Data Retention

We do not retain personal information longer than necessary.

As a general rule, personal information associated with a particular CGOT Expo edition is deleted after that event and will not be retained for longer than 12 months, unless continued retention is required by law or necessary for an unresolved administrative matter.

This includes, where applicable:

Event registration information
Contact enquiries
Airport pickup information
Interpreter booking information

Visa application information is treated more restrictively and is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the visa or invitation procedure.

Newsletter subscriber information is retained until you unsubscribe, you ask us to delete your information, or the newsletter service is discontinued.

9. No Automatic Marketing from Event Registration

Registering for CGOT Expo does not automatically enrol you in our email marketing newsletter.

If you wish to receive marketing emails, news or future CGOT Expo updates, you must separately subscribe to the newsletter.

Information provided for ticket registration is not used to automatically market future editions of the event to you.

10. Cookies and Tracking

CGOTExpo.com does not use advertising, analytics or behavioural tracking cookies.

We do not currently use services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads tracking, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar or TikTok Pixel.

We do not use website visitor behaviour to create advertising profiles.

Our hosting provider may process standard technical information necessary to operate and secure the website, such as server logs, IP addresses, browser information or security-related technical data.

Such technical processing is separate from marketing or advertising tracking.

If our use of cookies or tracking technologies changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated and, where legally required, appropriate consent mechanisms will be introduced.

Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically generate limited technical information when a website is accessed.
